Your actions speak louder than words. How well do you model the rhythm of renewal - pressing for performance and pausing for renewal? How actively do you encourage a healthy work-life balance environment in your team and in your workplace?

Rate your current performance for each item on a scale from: 1 (Not at all) to 5 (Consistently).

Scoring Key:

15 - 35: Poor. Lots of room for improvement. You are at risk of burning out yourself and your team. Take a close look at your own behaviors and beliefs relative to work life balance and renewal. Ask for feedback from colleagues on the impact of your style. Search out opportunities to develop stronger leadership skills in this area.

36 - 55: Good. You are generally aware of the value of balance and renewal. You have already adopted many sound practices. Look for ways to enhance your awareness about these issues; and stay alert for new information and approaches. Ask colleagues and employees for their suggestions about workplace practice enhancements.

56 - 75: Great. You have a sound grasp on the principles of renewal and balance as it plays out in the workplace. Keep doing what you are doing. Continue to refine your practices. Look for opportunities to coach and mentor others in this area.
